Different death animations would be great

What about ragdolling?

@DarknessPrevails Yeah, some enemies die in a stiff way. The ooser and the mole are some of my favorite monsters because being stationary is a characteristic of them. The original death is good enough though

Now, enemies that move faster usually look too stiffy for their nature

I prefer the original death, the others feel too cartoony.

Personally, I like the current death animations. Like @rgbpixel said, the other ones are too cartoony.

I might end up doing a hybrid fully depending on monster type. The issue is I and others want dismemberment and varied limb targeting because everyone just memorizes and hits the same limb. And I can't do that properly with standardized death animations.

@DarknessPrevails Yeah true, like if you add a skeleton, the bones could fly everywhere.

Do it like L4D does it. Preset death animation, of a sec or two and then just ragdoll. Can't beat the classics.

Now that I look back on this, I like the third one (left to right). Its not too cartoony but not to stiff.

The ragdoll one is peak but i prefer the original
